OK so football season is here, and the questions I have been asked lately are "what do I drink with my tailgate party"
So if you have any questions on what to pair with your tailgate or home party let's ask away.
As a example I am having Sticky Kansas City ribs this Sunday with Rosennblum North Coast Zinfandel as it marries the flavors of the sauce with the fruit and heat of the wine perfectly.

Summer Wines What to drink!
Hi All,
Welcome to the inaugural Wine Geek blog, hope everyone has some fun with this and we can share what is a favorite wine of yours and mine as well as answer any questions pertaining to anything wine. Lets jump right into it. I know summer has been a bummer on the weather front, however I have been able to enjoy some great wines when the weather permitted a time to barbecue . My favorite summer wines so far have been the following in no particular order.
La Casita Sangria- A fun party wine that over delivers in value, this is it!
Sole Beech Sauv Blanc from New Zealand- Typical NZ sauv blanc with lots of citrus and tartness
Hayman & Hill Meritage - On those cool summer evenings, a full bodied blend that is great by itself or with a nice NY strip steak.
